How to Install the templates

To install a template, first unzip the file i-Templatename-UnzipFirst.zip . Inside the folder there is another zip file named i-templatename.zip .
That is the template file that should be installed.

Install this template by logging into your Joomla 1.5 administrator section and going to “extensions” from the main menu and then clicking on “Install/Uninstall”. Browse for the zipped template file and hit the “upload file & install” button.
To make the new template the default one go to: “Extensions” and then “Template Manager”. Check the box beside the new template and then click the “Default” button on the top-right hand side.

In a fresh joomla installation, you might need to set the permissions of some of the folders. In case your permissions are not set correctly, you might have a problem while installing the template and receive a message like :

ERROR: Could not find a Joomla! XML setup file in the package.
[ Continue ... ]
Upload template - Failed Installation file not found:
[ Continue ... ]

This does not mean that there is a problem with the template. Try setting the folder permissions correctly (you can find information about this in the Joomla forums) and after that reinstall the template.
A shortcut could be to unzip the i-templatename.zip file, and upload the template folder manually through an FTP manager directly inside the 'templates' folder of your Joomla installation.
